When it comes to road trips, Victoria is one of the best states in Australia to take one and the Great Ocean Road is one of the top road trips in the entire world. Melbourne is the capital city, the second largest and most populated city in the country after Sydney. Spectacular scenery, many amazing attractions, and opportunities for adventure combine to make Victoria the perfect state for a road trip.

Victoria’s Weather
The weather is an important element to factor in to plans for a road tour. Victoria may not be the largest state in Australia, but it does have a varied climate. In the centre, the state has a cool climate because of the mountains. The west and north of the state has a semi-arid climate with hot summers, and the seacoast region is cool and temperate. Then, breezes from the Southern Ocean make the seasons in the southern to middle portion of the state mild, although somewhat cold and blustery in winter.

The Great Ocean Road Trip
While other road tours around the state are definitely fascinating and worthwhile like the Beechworth Alpine Valley and Philips Island with penguins to see, The Great Ocean Road is the ultimate road trip from Torquay to Warrnambool, about 240 kilometres in length. Here are some of the sites along the way and some of the basic travel facts:
Torquay – The waters at Torquay are great for surfing and lessons are provided. Nearby, the famous Bells Beach is also a favourite for surfers and spectators, very scenic and the site for surfing championships.

Anglesea – The beach at Anglesea is perfect for families, and the golf course is a good place to see kangaroos up close. The course is hilly and provides enough challenge for any golfers whatever their level of skill.
Lorne – A major resort town on the Great Ocean Road, Lorne has many wonderful accommodation options as well as places to eat. The magnificent Erskine Falls are also found in Lorne.

Apollo Bay – Visitors can hike a little or all of the Great Ocean Walk that begins in Apollo Bay. Maits Rest is a quiet path through the forest that is free to stroll through. Marriner’s Lookout offers spectacular views of the shoreline and town.
Port Campbell – This is the place to come if travellers have no time for exploring more of the route because in of its famous and natural sandstone and limestone monuments such as The Grotto and The Twelve Apostles.

Getting around in Victoria
Now, when considering a road trip in Victoria such as the Great Ocean Road, trip planners should consider hiring a campervan in Melbourne. Several towns and cities along the Great Ocean Road have caravan parks like Torquay, Port Campbell, Peterborough and Warrnambool. Campervans are practical and economical on fuel. They provide comfortable seating, a good driving experience, as well as cooking facilities and beds for comfortable sleeping. They park anywhere and quickly convert from sleep to travel mode.

I have been fortunate over the years in being able to explore some of the hidden treasures of France; you do have to be inquisitive as they are off the normal visitor routes. As there are now plenty of flights to different areas of France, there are myriad opportunities to explore places beyond the traditional tourist destinations. For example, many of the more obscure French regions are popular with those that regard themselves as wine connoisseurs. For a tasting that is very unique and somewhat special, it is well worth exploring the home of Cognac in Poitou-Charente.

The Charente Valley is lush and green, with rolling fields through which the Charente River gently meanders. A trip on La Dame Jeanne, which is a traditional flat-bottomed wooden boat, passes through undulating countryside that is dotted with picturesque churches and water mills and, of course, vineyards. Being in Cognac Country presents a unique opportunity to sample this fine French spirit, which is prepared using a double distillation process. For a different kind of dégustation, or tasting, take a tour of the Cognac houses, in the town of the same name, and drop in at the headquarters of Hennessy, a produces that dates from 1765.

The commune of Cognac
Cognac town center has a historic heritage, with many ancient buildings dating from the Renaissance period. The French king, Francis 1st, was born at the Château de Cognac in 1494 – he was a great patron of the arts. It is therefore unsurprising that Cognac has two art museums as well as a glassworks and a barrel works. Cognac has been the birthplace of poets, scientists and master glassmakers, including the inventor of the glass-blowing machine, Claude Boucher.

In the medieval quarter of Cognac alongside the river down narrow cobbled passageways, you will find unusual buildings dating from the 15th–18th centuries, many decorated with the king’s symbol, the salamander. Cognac also has several picturesque chateaux and Romanesque churches. The town also has its lively commercial side, with a bustling daily market that attracts customers from the nearby villages to shop and meet with friends.

Summer fun

All over France, summer festivals are very popular and cheap flights make it possible to enjoy the cultural attractions in various parts of the country. Cognac is no exception – the Cognac Festival takes place near the town’s marina and on offer are samples of the spirits, wine and food of the region: a wonderful occasion to enjoy dinner and a concert. Adults and children alike enjoy the Cross Montamette – a giant funfair with a spectacular fireworks display at the close of the event.

Every summer in Cognac the Cognac Blues Passion focuses on Afro-American music and is staged in an outdoor arena. Recognized by professionals worldwide as being one of the leading European festivals, for four days and nights Cognac is filled with music and packed with people of different cultures and backgrounds, all enjoying the same inspiring sounds.

To close the summer fun, the Coup de Chauffe takes place on the narrow streets and features entertainment suitable for everybody, by circus performers, musicians, actors and dancers. For history, heritage, the arts and summer fun, Cognac provides a very special place to spend a vacation.

The beautiful city of Malaga is a really vital city for Spanish tourism. It is popular for its historical places as well as the modern attractions that are built to promote the city to the world. The municipal council of the city has done a really good job building this city and you can see that the tourist’s attractions here are properly managed and also safe to be visited by everyone. Currently, the council is trying to get the title ‘European Culture Capital’ for Malaga to open more eyes that will see that Spain does not only have Madrid, Granada and Barcelona.

Malaga has an international airport serving it which is known as Malaga Costa Del Sol Airport. Over ten million passengers pass through the terminal’s airport every year and the numbers steadily increasing each year. It has flights that goes to over one hundred cities in Europe alone, and there are also flights to other continents like Africa and America. Car hire Malaga will be your best bet to find a car that suite your need and budget. They always have great packages, so you will be able to save more to be used for other things like souvenirs and food.

As Malaga is popular for the historic significance of Pablo Picasso, who was born in this city, you will find a lot of places here that dedicated themselves to Picasso. One of the popular places in Malaga that is related to Picasso will be the house where he lived for a part of his lifetime at El Museo Casa Natal. This museum is formerly a house where Picasso’s father, Jose Quiz Blasco lives with his family for a short four years before they moved to another place.

In here, you can see the arts and paintings made by other famous painters from the Picasso era which also originated from Malaga like Joaquin de Molina, Bola Barrionuevo and Rogelio Lopez Cuenca. If you love to see the arts and paintings from the olden times, you will ultimately enjoy your time at this museum. The entry fee is a mere 1 Euro which is quite a bargain for the amount of exhibits that can be found here. Not only the artworks from Malaga artists are shown here, there are also other works from Guinovart, Chillida and Dokoupil. If you want to know more about each artwork displayed here, you can opt to use the guided tours provided to enlighten you.

When winter grays descends and spring seems a distant memory, a trip to the sunshine may be just the ticket. You have done Disney World, you say? Look a little further. There is more to Orlando than its famous mouse.

Visitors flocking to Orlando to escape the winter blues will find plenty to explore along Park Avenue in Winter Park. Park Avenue is perfect for an afternoon of window-shopping. Stroll along until you find the perfect outdoor cafe for people watching. On Saturdays the local farmer’s market is a colorful affair offering fresh produce of every kind.

Tired of shopping? Take in some natural beauty. Harry P. Leu Gardens overlooking Lake Rowena offers 50-acres of wandering paths through a butterfly garden, citrus grove and dozens of other flower and plant environments. Tours are available of The Leu House Museum, a 19th century building listed in the National Register of Historic Places . Check local listings for movie nights and concerts hosted in the gardens.

Golfers seeking sun out on the links may want to rent a car for a day trip out to RedTail, a private course that is also open for public use. Red Tail is considered challenging and is less expensive than courses that are connected to resorts.

Tourists sometimes overlook the science, technology and history of Kennedy Space Center. Where else you can go to see the actual Space Shuttle launch pad or a garden of rockets reaching 10 stories high?

When you are ready to put your feet up, plenty of accommodations await, from charming B&Bs to contemporary condos. A perfect combination of luxury and convenience, the Peabody Orlando is a four-star hotel just a brief drive from some of the city’s best-known tourist sites. Universal Orlando, Sea World and yes, Disney World, can be explored easily with the Peabody Orlando as home base.

Meet the hotels most famous inhabitants while you are there: the Peabody Ducks. These five lucky mallards have permanent penthouse accommodations and march the hotels marble halls each morning on their way to the hotels fountain. Join the Peabody Ducks and fly south for the winter. The hidden gems of Orlando are waiting to be discovered.

Brussels is a fine city, bursting with culture, amenities, food and beer. It is the perfect city to do business in because it presents you with the best of both worlds – everything you need to ensure you can work efficiently plus all you could want for entertainment during those non-working hours. Considered the Heart of Europe, Brussels is the capital of Belgium and provides a warm welcome for every business traveller – especially those seeking some quality free-time activities too.

Business
A city ideal for business, Brussels has an impressive infrastructure and support network that ensures companies can work without a hitch and business travelers can conduct their tasks with ease. In fact, each year Brussels is home to more than 70,000 registered meetings and exhibitions – and that’s because of the range of venues available.

Holiday Inn Meetings, for example, are designed for the professional so if you’re in Brussels for business, you should consider using the facilities. Whether it’s a fairly intimate meeting you want to arrange or a massive theatre-style conference for hundreds of colleagues, Holiday Inn can meet your needs. As food matters in Brussels, you can be sure of a hearty working lunch or breakfast during your meeting too.

Brussels also benefits from a central location, making it easy to reach from other European cities including London, Paris and Berlin. The links are excellent to major cities so you can hold meetings in Brussels in the morning and return home again in the afternoon, or simply enjoy a leisurely few hours meandering your way around the city.

As a compact city, walking is an option for getting around Brussels in a stress-free manner. Rather than waiting for a cab or fighting your way onto public transport, like you have to in London for instance, you can stroll from meeting to meeting. Plus, there isn’t the language barrier of many major business cities in Europe as most people in Brussels speak English and certainly business is conducted in English.

Pleasure
When your meetings are over, why not discard your laptop and tie, pop on a pair of comfy shoes and head on out into the city of food, beer and culture?

If you enjoy food, Brussels will delight. And you don’t need to go to a fancy restaurant to be sure of a really good meal, either, as most cafes will serve delicious bowls of the classic Belgian dish mussels and chips. Other favourites include waterzooi soup, a stew-like soup traditionally made with fish and vegetables, and waffles. To top off your meal, you can choose between the 400 different types of beer that Brussels has to offer!

Brussels is also a paradise for chocolate lovers, where you’ll find streets lined with the finest chocolate shops in the world as well as a Chocolate Museum which lets you watch as the delectable sweet brown stuff is made right in front of you. After all, this city is home to famous chocolatiers like Godiva.

Of course, there’s more to this city than food and beer, and you’ll find ample activities to keep you busy for an hour or two in between meetings and also for whole days. There are museums, art galleries and fairs that are worth exploring, and cities like Amsterdam and Luxembourg are only a stone’s throw away and perfect for a day trip. In addition, the beautiful squares, historic buildings and sights are enough to make simply walking around Brussels a delight.

Although Auckland is a pretty nice city with many assets, it remains a city which has quickly made the rounds of the main points of interest. Of course the tastes and colors according to each individual, but in my case, I am more access to nature and great spaces …

Having seen the West Coast with its lush forest and pristine beaches of black sand, I toured some of the quieter beaches on the east coast of the city. I started with a small beach hidden in a beautiful suburb near the city center, where you have to squeeze between the houses of wealthy owners with a glimpse of the fine white sand and crystal clear water of the bay. Then I went on the beach in Auckland, 10 minutes from the center, the one everyone is talking about, the one where everyone goes, Mission Bay beach. Indeed, it is a good range of medium size, in a nice setting on the edge of a park, lined with some restaurants and ice cream vendors that provides holiday tunes instead. But nothing to do with the great beaches of the west coast of South Island, or orange sands of idyllic beaches of Golden Bay, or even those of the east coast of the South Island. In fact, there is nothing to do with any range of the South Island which, moreover, are overcrowded when a dozen people are on the beach at the same time! But in the context of a big city like Auckland, Mission Bay Beach is a gem.

I then returned to the city where I parked the car and continued on foot towards the city center. As I walked along the harbor, I walked past a large mosaic drawn on the ground, commemorating the tragedy of the Rainbow Warrior, and recalling that it is the government which sank the boat, causing the death of the photographer. I do not stick around very long!

I finally arrived where I wanted to fit: the Sky Tower, which is the tower of Auckland. I climbed to the summit to enjoy the view stretching 82km in each direction. Given in the prospectus, they are very proud to say that it is the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, and especially to compare it to the Eiffel Tower, which is less than 4 meters high! The Sky Tower 328m far indeed high. To end the day, I went down to see the sunset from the harbor of the city.

Famous nightclubs including Space and Amnesia attract thousands of Britons every week to Ibiza. While Ibiza does indeed continue to be the epicentre of partying, it can offer so much more. The island is full of history, culture and hosts adventures to be had. We’ve put together a list of 5 things you should do on the island during the day, assuming you aren’t too hungover from the previous night out.

1. Visit Las Salinas Salt Lake
On the South of the island, visitors can find the salt fields, ‘Las Salinas Salt Flats’. In the summer, the salt-water lake evaporates leaving a pretty crystal sparkling layer, used for thousands of years.

2. Explore Dalt Vila
Located in the old town, a walk across a drawbridge will take you back in time. You will be immediately greeted with the Plaza. Wander around the cobble streets, however we’d strong recommend taking comfortable shoes.

3. Go Diving
Warm clean waters makings Ibiza the perfect place to go diving and those new to the sport should not worry as there is a number of schools around to learn. A cargo ferry sunk around five years ago, and is now open to the public to explore.

4. See the Coast by Boat
Ibiza has some stunning coastline, which deserves more attention than simply lying on the beach. A number of boat tours are available and if you’re feeling flush, yachts available to hire too.

5. Shop in the Markets
Ibiza has thriving markets where you can buy unique handmade items to remember your holiday by. Some of the biggest include the Hippy Market held on Wednesdays in the grounds of Club Punta Arabi and the Las Dallas market in San Carlos.

If the lure of an island with both culture and a party lifestyle is too hard to resist, visit Twenties Holidays, who offer various package holidays to Ibiza.

Do you want to take a camping vacation with your friends or family, Or with your romantic partner? If the answer is true for either any of the above case, then its time you should start planning your holidays. If you do not have to start planning your vacation, you may want to think about how to do so soon. Here are some tips that could be helpful to you in having perfect vacations in less cost.

While it is good to know that you must think of your vacation planning in advance, you will be in May to ask exactly why you should. In all honesty, you will find that there are a number of reasons why you should start planning your next vacation in advance, and a number of advantages to do so. Just a few of those many reasons and benefits are outlined below for you.

Preparing your vacation in advance will help ensure that you are able to get a reservation for accommodation of your own choice. During holidays, it’s almost impossible to get cheap accommodation due to crowded market. Camping is however a popular activity in this situation, especially during the spring and summer months. What does this mean to you? That means you’re probably one of the hundreds of people in and around your area who are interested in having a fun filled holiday, but however, In most of the places it is very unfortunate to know that many campgrounds are limited on the amount of space they have. To ensure that you are able to get a reservation vacation, you want to make your plans in advance.

In addition to making a reservation, planning your vacation in advance may also help you get a better camping spot. Looking at a map of the campground in question, you may find that perfect camping spot is located next to a lake or one that is near a hiking trail. With this in mind, however, it is important that you know that the longer you wait to make your vacation reservations, less than “prime”, campsites you have to choose.

Preparing in advance also allow you more time to choose, what kind of food you can bring in camping or hicking, You can also determine what type of recreational activities you can do like playing camres, hunting, boating etc.

Preparation in advance also means that care of your budget where you can get benefits from travel & accommodation discounts offered by many tour operators quite often. For example, ferryonline.co.uk compare live prices from ferry operators where you then book at the lowest fares. Their most popular destination of course are ferries to France and most popular route is Dover to Calais. Certainly last year I witnessed a huge rise in ferry travel due to the Volcanic Ash saga and this year prices as with everything in this climate are very competitive with very cheap deals especially when travelling midweek. Yeah I must say, Planning your vacation in advance is likely to improve your holidays trip. Have a lovely holidays

With more than 6 million people, Santiago concentrates 40% of the population of Chile. This is a huge city, modern and Western. There are wide avenues and pedestrian urban highways, a light and diffuse disorder suspected to be related to pollution, large devices, buildings of glass, steel and concrete that give your head spin, a subway, giant advertising screens … And occasionally some old buildings framed by giant towers.

Large paved avenues (Plaza de Armas in particular) are motivated by small street concerts, exhibition of paintings and Sunday preachers shouting at the microphone to the glory of the Lord. In contrast, jugglers and other entertainers hairy, troubleurs of public recognition, attract the wrath of the Carabineros, even on small squares at the bottom of the parks.

The city is very different from other cities we have seen, no street vendors, old bus with their big black clouds and touts shouting at the window, to the Indian bowlers who sell their herbs in bizarre bewitching scents, the shoe shiners hidden (here they have a fee schedule). La Paz is really far away! I’m afraid for now, presence in Santiago do not allow us to say much more about this great city and more about Chile and its people, There is much i have in mind to write about this fabulous city. keep visiting for further updates.
